Banksia Palliative Care Service (Banksia) is a community based interdisciplinary palliative care service in the North-East region of Melbourne.  Services are provided to clients living in Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea.  The office is situated in Heidelberg.

Banksia is seeking a suitably qualified Community Palliative Care Nurses to work in a casual capacity to cover annual leave and periods of high demand.

The successful candidate will preferably have relevant nursing experience in community palliative care, current AHPRA registration, be a permanent Australian resident, hold a current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a national police check.  A current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License is mandatory.  The ability to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised while maintaining accountability is essential. Sound community palliative care nursing competencies and experience with a passion for community palliative care nursing are desirable.   Relevant post graduate qualifications are desirable.
