Message from our Executive Officer
Our Annual Breakfast, followed by our Annual General Meeting was held at Monsalvat on the 10 November. Our Guest Speaker was Doctor Bill Silvester of Austin Health who spoke on the topic of Advanced Care Planning. It was a very informative talk and I invite any person to contact myself, where they require any information on this important topic.
In October 2009 Banksia achieved another milestone in the formalising of a "Sister Relationship" with Hospice Hawaii Honolulu USA, where a memorandum of understanding was jointly signed in Tokyo, Japan. Banksia now has a tri-nation international sister relationship with Hospice Hawaii and Pallium Hospice Tokyo, with a research based collaboration.
A special thank you to the Committee of Management, Staff and all Volunteers, for their dedication and their contribution to Banksia, throughout 2009. Our 2008-2009 Financial Year Annual Report is available for perusal, under the menu heading "About Us".
