Jan joined the Board in August 2004. Until her retirement in 2006, Jan was a registered psychologist with more than twenty years’ experience in education, health education and road safety. Her main roles have included: policy advice to the Victorian government, strategic planning, managing the evaluation of behavioural programs, and development and carriage of legislative initiatives.
Jan has worked on several major Victorian health research projects. These include a comprehensive 1980s Government review of health education activities in Victoria. In 1998, she was seconded to the Department of Human Services to work on the Victorian Women’s Health Plan. When she retired, Jan was senior policy advisor on alcohol and road trauma for VicRoads.
